FUND RAISER EVENTS: (in order received) Deriece Caro Memorial Trail Ride Benefit For many of you who knew Deriece you knew that in the Fall of 2009 she started the planning stages for a benefit horse ride to raise money for the American Cancer Society to help fund the cure for cancer. Deriece was wanting to have the ride in the Spring of 2010 to honor her brother Michael Barclay who passed away from Leukemia in 1991 at age 30. This cause was near and dear to Deriece, unfortunately Deriece shockingly passed away on January 7, 2010 at age 51 from a unsuspected heart attack caused by an unknown viral infection that settled in her heart from a cold she was fighting. When this happened Deriece’s cause was obviously put on hold until her family and friends came together to honor Deriece’s memory and to fulfill her dream. So come out on September 25, 2010 and honor Deriece and help fund the fight to cure cancer. Deriece was wanting to have the ride in the Spring of 2010 to honor her brother Michael Barclay who passed away from Leukemia in 1991 at age 30. This cause was near and dear to Deriece, unfortunately Deriece shockingly passed away on January 7, 2010 at age 51 from a unsuspected heart attack caused by an unknown viral infection that settled in her heart from a cold she was fighting. When this happened Deriece’s cause was obviously put on hold until her family and friends came together to honor Deriece’s memory and to fulfill her dream. So come out on September 25, 2010 and honor Deriece and help fund the fight to cure cancer.
